01/13 /2007 Well 2006 is over and looking back at the year it feels like it has just flown by. CASK is now one year old, CONGRATULATIONS. We have come a long way from that first meeting in Ken’s store with only 18 people to over hundred members in just 12 months. Some highlights of 2006 were: we had an all grain brewing demo, we did the Big Brew down at the Landing, a group brew/potluck dinner, teach a friend to brew day, BJCP classes, and started our inter-Klub competitions.
2007 is looking like an even bigger year for the Klub with: More brewing demo’s, another Big Brew day, another group brew/potluck, our inter-Klub competitions, and our first Brewer of the year award. It may sound like a repeat of last year, but wait there’s more: we are working on a Beer and Food pairing event in conjunction with FCCJ Culinary School and a Golf tournament, these are looking like they will be very high profile events in the Jacksonville area and may turn into annual events. We are also working on getting an AHA sanctioned competition here. More on these as they develop.
Since 2007 is looking like it’s going to be a bigger and better year for the Klub maybe we should get a Klub theme song, my recommendation would be: “The Future’s So Bright I Got to Wear Shades” Go ahead click the link!

Mike Spitler Sec. Bob Emery Since Bob is the new secretary this will be my last Klub news letter. It’s been fun.
