Happy Brewday to all,

 

Meeting minutes:

 

6:07    Meeting Called to order

 

            Vice President’s Comments

 

*      The President, Treasurer, and Dr. Jim are in Gainesville judging.

*      Introduction of new members and visitors.

*      No inner club competition.

*      Congratulations to Marshall and Jim for placing 3rd in the regionals. 

*      Judges results are back.  We have six new beer judges.

*      June will be best of show for the inner club competition.

*      July starts the new competition year.  The style is Strong Ale.

*      We are looking at a banquet in August for the inner club Brewer of the Year.

*      Big Brew there were 27 brewers and 85 gallons made.  Last year we had 11 brewers and 60 gallons.

*      The Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 2nd.

*      The Food and Beer pairing has been cancelled.  We are trying to work with The Art Institute to host it.

 

 

6:20     Voting on Bylaws Article X Committees and Article XI Voting

 

*      Article X Carried.

*      Article XI  Carried.

 

6:21    Secretary Report

 

*      Reading of the previous month’s minutes.

 

6:21    Treasurer Report

 

*      None

 

6:22    Open Floor

 

*      Peggy mentioned judging during the meeting so judges could socialize.

*      Dave mentioned a group brew where we vary the aspect of the brew.

*      It was mentioned about having a doctored beer tasting.

*      Marshall volunteered to hold the first klub social hour.

*      New brew shop opens on the 15th.

*      Looking for a site to have a quarterly group brew.

*      Looking at a Happy Hour at the brew shop

*      David Stanton volunteered to be the Klub Historian.

*      Considering a beer swap at the brew shop.

 

 

6:45     Guest Speaker Byron Cassell

 

*      Single Malt Scotch Whiskey

 

7:22    No Competition

 

*      Turn in bottle labels for credit.

 

7:26    Meeting Adjourned
