1. All klub members in good standing are eligible to participate.
2. Must submit 2 bottles a. Brown or Green b. 12oz or 16oz c. Each bottle must have a bottle id form filled out and attached.
3. All entries must conform to BJCP style guidelines to advance (Brewer Rankings).
4. The style entered is up to the brewer to decide with the exception of entries submitted for consideration for the club only competitions.
5. Repeat entries of a style previously entered, must be from a new batch/recipe (modifications to a previous recipe are accepted), will not count towards brewer rankings, but can be used for the brewer of the year and club only competitions.
6. Brewer Ranks:
a. Brewer Apprentice - Successfully produce a beer from 6 of the major categories from the BJCP styles guide. b. Brewer - Successfully produce a beer from 12 of the major categories from the BJCP styles guide. c. Experienced Brewer - Successfully produce a beer from 18 of the major categories from the BJCP styles guide. d. Master Brewer - Successfully produce a beer from all of the major categories from the BJCP styles guide.
7. Brewer of the Year:
Based on point totals beginning August and running till July.
a. 1 point awarded for entering a beer, regardless if within style. b. 1 point awarded if scored 21-30. c. 2 points awarded if scored 31-40. d. 3 points awarded if scored 41-50 points.
8. Judging to be conducted by members working towards their BJCP certification using the BJCP beer score sheet.
