The Brewer of the Year award is the most coveted CASK award for recognizing & promoting quality brewing within the klub during monthly Interklub competitions.
Points follow the BJCP beer evaluation scoring guidelines and are awarded as follows:
5 points are awarded for a beer score of 45-50
4 points are awarded for a beer score of 38-44
3 points are awarded for a beer score of 30-37
2 points are awarded for a beer score of 21-29
1 point is awarded for a beer score of 14-20
0 points are awarded for a beer score of 0-13
Additional Points will also be given for medalist of CASK Interklub competitions as follows:
Gold Medal is awarded 3 additional points
Silver Medal is awarded 2 additional points
Bronze Medal is awarded 1 additional point
If you see an error, please email the Competition Director or Rick so corrections can be made. Remember that rankings are typically updated at the end of the calendar year prior to the January Banquet when awards are presented.
