When it rains it pours! We have 3 Abbaye Normale Gold Medal Tappings this month! This past weekend we celebrated the tapping of Chris Dibble’s Belgian IPA at Legacy Ale Works. Coming up Friday, January 17th starting at 4pm, Frank Osborne’s Belgian Dark Strong is being released at Engine 15. And finally, on Thursday, January 30th at 5pm, Jesse Johnson’s Rye Saison, “Rye of the Beholder” is going to be tapped at Mocama Brewery. Please join us in celebrating these gold medal winning beers!
The 2025 election ballot is posted on the Elections page. Everyone who are current with their dues are eligible to vote (if you are not, the treasurer would love to hear from you). Please vote before the January CASK meeting (it’s much easier if you do).
Thank you Bold City Brewery for hosting our December meeting. We appreciate all of the judges that came out early to help judge the Cider Interklub Competition this evening!
This evening was special because one of CASK’s founding members is moving onto a new life chapter. Thank you Mike Lentz for your years of devoted service to CASK serving as an officer, a friend, and a mentor to our members. We appreciate everything you have done for our club, and will miss your leadership and company at future CASK events. We wish you the best in your retirement!
Congratulations to our Medalists!
Gold: Frank Osborne (New World Apple Cider)
Silver: Ed Stansel (Specialty Apple Cider over Muscadine Grapes)
Bronze: Rick Terrio (Mango and Raspberry Apple Cider)
Thanks for joining CASK and JAX Ale-Exchange in helping celebrate the tapping of James Gostage’s Abbaye Normale gold medal Belgian Single at Fishwier on Tuesday, December 3rd. ~Cheers!

Thank you Veterans United Craft Brewery for hosting our September meeting! Also, thank you to our judges that showed up early on a rainy evening to help judge Porters.
Congratulations to our Interklub Medalists!!!
CASK has been invited to serve mead at Feeding Northeast Florida’s grand opening. Feeding Northeast Florida is a local food bank that serves Duval and 11 surrounding counties. They are expecting around 350 attendees at this event. Thank you to the volunteers that have agreed to serve for the event and everyone who has offered to bring mead.
If you have a bottle or two of delicious mead that you would be willing to share I’ll be at Ink Factory Saturday night for the meeting. The event is six weeks away, so there’s time to get that mead in bottles that’s clearing on the shelf. If you have questions or need to coordinate a pick up email me at: treasurer@thecask.org
